Adiós Sea Kayak . . .

Our bombproof, "sunrise-colored" ocean kayak is no longer with us. I SOLD it yesterday. As we move toward Colorado, I figured swapping the burly sea kayak for new skis made sense.

The downside to the transaction is that our best piece of apartment decor is now gone. And now Sam has nothing big and orange to stare at as he falls asleep. Sam and I both cried as we watched the kayak go.

But Sam will be happy once he sees the new K2 Comanche skis I purcahsed on REI.com with the kayak proceeds.

What a deal! WINTERY COLORADO HERE WE COME!

Matt, at least with your new set of sticks you won't run into any problems with leaky septic tanks (and all the "intriguing items" you may bump into).

Oh sad. Our surf board passed away last weekend too. Well, we passed it along. End of a chapter I guess. I bet Becky was to sad to see the big-orange-scary-falling-Kayak-monster go.
